Linda S. Drago first joined Duquesne University as a staff attorney in 1993 before being appointed General Counsel in 1995. Her role at Duquesne expanded in 1999 when the Board of Directors elected her University Secretary. In 2009, Drago was designated Duquesne’s Vice President for Legal Affairs.
Previously, Drago was the Associate General Counsel for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, a litigation attorney with the law firm of Cauley & Conflenti and the Associate Director of the University of Pittsburgh Law School Library.
In addition to her work at Duquesne University, Drago serves various professional and community organizations. She is the first female president of the Jaguar Club of Pittsburgh, which was founded in 1971 as an affiliate of the Jaguar Clubs of North America. Drago also is a member of the Animal Friends Advisory Board; an adoption consultant for Going Home Greyhound; and chairman of the Finance Council for Holy Angels Church. She is a past advisory board member at Seton La Salle High School.
Drago is a member of the Beta Phi Mu International Honor Society, the Century Club of Distinguished Alumni at Duquesne University and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. She received the Aldisert Award from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1983, and she received the “AV” rating from the Martindale-Hubbell attorney rating services in 2004 in recognition of her experience, expertise, integrity and professional excellence.
Drago has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Duquesne University, a Master's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Library and Information Science and Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She was admitted to the practice of law in Pennsylvania in 1983. She is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. |
